History
The SMPS Southern Regional Conference began in 2002. Each year since, this annual event has occurred in participating chapter cities within the Southern Region which includes the Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Oklahoma, and Louisiana SMPS Chapters. SMPS is an organization composed of business development professionals, marketing professionals, and principals from architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, construction and specialty consulting firms.  SMPS is the premier source for business development and marketing professionals and was created in 1973 by a small group of A/E/C firm leaders who recognized the need to sharpen skills, pool resources, and work together to create business opportunities.  Today, SMPS has 6,000+ members active in 53 chapters across the United States and Canada.  For more information about SMPS, please visit the national website at www.smps.org.
