The Chick Behind the Movement
Kelli Gilpin, author of Bring It, Bitches! and founder of Kelli Gilpin International, is passionate about working with emerging female leaders who want to break through their own limiting beliefs, boost their careers and OWN their room – whatever room they find themselves in. She has dedicated her professional life to teaching women how to channel their inner moxie and build their know-how so they can ask for what they want – and get it. Kelli has addressed several industry conferences and has been a management consultant for numerous Fortune 500 executive teams (where, sadly, women are few and far between). For more of Kelli’s unique blend of sass and practical, no-nonsense tips and techniques, check out www.kelligilpin.com.

Dave Rearick is a sailor and building contractor whole home waters are Lake Michigan. He built his passion for sailing by sneaking out small boats without parental approval and turned that into a love and respect for the challenges of solo sailing leading to the ultimate opportunity – to singlehand Bodacious Dream, a 40-foot sailboat around the world in 2013/14. The trip, documented in an online Captain’s Blog, covered 25,000 miles in 8.5 months. Rearick willingly shares his experience through leadership positions, supporting other solo racers, and as a frequent speaker to audiences of all ages. Currently, he serves as an Ambassador for 11th Hour Racing — a project of the Schmidt Family Foundation — and heads the Educational Outreach for the Atlantic Cup Race. Rearick’s quality personality is peppered with fun and mischief providing a humorous outlook to the vagaries of life alone at sea. He is an accomplished writer, a great oral communicator and storyteller, a respected problem solver and leader. He’s back on shore and continuing to share and teach with young students about the amazing world we line in.
